Volleyball Handed 3-0 Loss by Philadelphia U.



Goldey-Beacom gave its best, but in the end was handed a 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss (13-25, 12-25, 21-25) at Philadelphia U.
 
The Rams put forth a balanced attack with 12 kills in each of the three sets, including a .296 hitting percentage in the second.  They finished the match with a 36-19 kills edge.
 
Ellie Fleegle (Berlin, PA) had six kills, fellow freshman Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, VA) posted 15 assists, and both junior Grace McCarthy (Middletown, DE) and freshman Megann Santiago (Levittown, NY) had six digs apiece for GBC (6-17, 2-13 CACC).
 
Chelsea Hughes amassed 10 kills, Nina Morvin dished 20 assists and Courtney Wensel had 10 digs for the Rams (16-5, 12-2).
 
Goldey-Beacom is on the road Saturday at Caldwell for a 2:00 pm match.
