Volleyball Dealt 3-0 Loss at Holy Family



Goldey-Beacom ran into one of the contenders in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference in Holy Family and was handed a 3-0 loss (15-25, 17-25, 18-25) in Philadelphia.
 
The Tigers (9-16, 8-6 CACC) in the first set amassed a 14-6 kills advantage with a .333 hitting percentage to take control.  They then posted a 24-15 edge for the remainder of the match, finishing with a .267 percentage overall.
 
Junior Grace McCarthy (Middletown, DE) had eight kills to become the eighth player in school history to notch 600 career.  She now stands at 605 kills.
 
Senior Mackenzie Wilson (Wilmington, DE) closed with five digs and moved into sixth place in school history with 1,046 career.
 
Freshman Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, VA) notched 16 assists and nine digs with freshman Keelin McEleney (Conshohocken, PA) adding eight digs for the Lightning (6-16, 2-12).
 
Chase Wassel notched 14 kills and 12 digs with Candyce Riley adding 11 digs for the Tigers.
 
Goldey-Beacom is on the road Thursday at Philadelphia U., starting at 7:00 pm.
