After reaching the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament a sixth straight year, Goldey-Beacom goes for a seventh against a demanding schedule that awaits in 2015-16.

An exhibition game at Maryland, which last season played in the Final Four, takes place October 31 before the season opens November 13 against Stonehill at the Assumption Tip-Off Classic.  GBC will battle the host the following day in Worcester, MA.

The first of 15 home games is November 17 vs. Bloomsburg and the CACC opener is November 24 at home against University of the Sciences.  The first full week of league games presents no favors from the schedule maker as GBC visits defending-champion Holy Family on December 2 and runner-up Philadelphia U. three days later.

GBC will enjoy a stretch from January 12 – February 6 in which it plays six of seven games in that span at home.  Two of those games will feature South Division opponents as the squad entertains Philadelphia U. on January 20 and Holy Family on February 3.

Once that is done, GBC visits Caldwell on February 13.  The squads last season hooked up in two memorable contests, each won by the Cougars, that both went to overtime with the latter being a thrilling conference quarterfinal.

The home finale is February 20 against Wilmington (DE) and the regular season ends February 23 at Georgian Court.

The conference quarterfinals are February 27 and both the semifinals and final take place on the campus of Dominican College in Orangeburg, NY.

GBC gets a massive boost this season with the return of sophomore guard Lexi Bruno (Millville, NJ), last year's CACC Rookie of the Year and a second team all-league honoree.  One of the most dynamic competitors who presents many options for the Lightning and many problems for their opponents, Bruno last season also was picked CACC Rookie of the Week four times and named to the league's Weekly Honor Roll four times.

Bruno last season broke the school's single-season records with 65 three-pointers and 146 assists, ended 24th in the country with a 2.0 assist-to-turnover ratio, 26th with 5.0 assists per game, 55th with a .380 three-point percentage, 78th with 2.24 three-pointers per contest and 96th with 16.1 points per game.  Her 65 three-pointers already are ninth in school history.

Sophomore Britani Bryson (Hampton, VA) made an immediate impact in the post last season, which helped her twice to be named CACC Rookie of the Week and once the Defensive Player of the Week.  She ended 28th in the CACC with 10.9 points per game, 15th with 7.2 rebounds per contest, fifth with 1.1 blocks per game, 16th with a .433 shooting percentage and ninth on the school's single-season list with 32 blocks.

Junior Jasmyne Lewis (Mount Holly, NJ) gives the Lightning great court awareness and is a multi-faceted competitor.  She closed 41st in the league with 4.1 rebounds per game, scored in double figures seven times and was fifth on the squad with 6.5 points per contest.

The squad, which last season won 13 of its last 23 contests, is 10 victories shy of reaching 200 in program history.
