Cross Country Squads Participate in the Jack St. Clair Memorial

Senior Aaron Easter (Elkton, MD) closed in fourth place and senior Logan Jones (Frederick, MD) was eighth for Goldey-Beacom, which saw its men's team end third and the women's side finish 10th at the Jack St. Clair Memorial in Philadelphia, PA.

Easter again was a force, closing the eight-kilometer course in 28:33.3 for his third top-four finish of the year. Jones raced in 29:16.4 at Belmont Plateau for his second top-10 finish of the campaign.

Junior Rudy Braxton (Bear, DE) closed 19th in 29:59.3, senior Jonathan Mbwiri (Newark, DE) finished 28th in 30:30.5 and sophomore Victor Rueda-Jimenez (Milford, DE) was 31st in 30:37.5.

The Lightning closed with 90 points and Wilmington (DE) grabbed the team title with 55 points.

Sophomore Jordan Dodson (Port Deposit, MD) once again paced the women's side, ending 31st in 26:31.7 over the 6,000-meter course. Sophomore Crystal McCollum (Elkton, MD) was 47th in 27:46.7, senior Sarah Grzybowski (Wilmington, DE) finished 72nd in 30:48.4, senior Leshae Lee (Edgewood, MD) ran in 35:18.3 and freshman Chelby McCall (Chesapeake City, MD) closed in 35:21.6

Philadelphia U. won the women's title with 42 points.

Goldey-Beacom is off until October 25, when it returns to Belmont Plateau for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship.
