Renel Dennis (Martin Van Buren H.S./Queens, N.Y.) recorded her second straight "hat trick" by scoring four goals as Post University (4-1-0, 3-0-0) earned its third win in a row, a 5-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over Goldey-Beacom College (1-3-0, 0-3-0) at the Eagles' LaMoy Field on Saturday afternoon.
Dennis gave Post a 2-0 lead in the first 28 minutes of the match by scoring a pair of markers before senior forward
Nicole Curry (Lenape H.S./Mount Laurel, N.J.) trimmed the deficit with 16:16 left in the first half on a penalty kick.
However, Dennis answered by scoring two more goals in the first 24 minutes of the second half to extend the Eagles' advantage to 4-1. Freshman forward
Sam Rodriguez (Wayne Hills H.S./Wayne, N.J.) added the first goal of her college career with 4:01 remaining to increase the margin to 5-1.
The Eagles outshot Goldey-Beacom by a 27-11 margin as junior goalkeeper
Valarie Orth (Schalick H.S./Pittsgrove, N.J.) made seven saves after entering the match in the 29th minute.
