Volleyball Earns Split of Tri-Match Against Felician and Bowie State

Lightning Even Record to 6-6

RUTHERFORD, N.J.
- Led by 24 kills from senior outside hitter Kadi McCoy (Dallastown H.S./Dallastown, Pa.) and 61 assists from junior setter Danielle Cipolletti (Scottsdale H.S./Scottsdale, Ariz.), the Goldey-Beacom College volleyball team split a pair of matches against Felician College and Bowie State University at Job Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

The Lightning, who improved to 6-6 on the season, dropped a four-set verdict against the host Golden Falcons in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match before posting a three-set victory over the Bulldogs in a non-conference encounter.

McCoy, who leads the CACC in kills, tallied 15 kills in the loss against Felician along with a season-high six service aces before recording nine kills in the win over Bowie State. She also contributed seven digs and three blocks as the Lightning earned their second win over Bowie State this season.

Meanwhile, Cipolletti contributed 36 assists with five kills against Felician before a 25-assist, 12-dig effort in the win over the Bulldogs.
