NEWARK, Del. – Junior captain
Aaron Easter (Rising Sun H.S./Elkton, Md.) finished in 10th place to lead the Goldey-Beacom College men's cross country team to a fourth place finish among Division II and III teams at the University of Delaware Invitational at White Clay Creek State Park on Saturday morning.
Rowan University won the team title with 38 points after having five runners finish in the top 15 places. Meanwhile, Salisbury University and Wilmington University finished in second and third places, respectively.
Easter, who earned an honorable mention selection for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Runner of the Week award on Tuesday, posted his second consecutive top-10 finish after completing the 8K course in a time of 27 minutes, 38 seconds.
Meanwhile, junior
Logan Jones (Tuscarora H.S./Frederick, Md.) followed in 11th place by finishing just four seconds behind Easter with a time of 27:42.
Freshman
Chandler Brooks (Bohemia Manor H.S./Warwick, Md.) earned a 16th place effort with a time of 28:06 while sophomore
Rudy Braxton (Hodgson Vo-Tech H.S./Bear, Del.) claimed a 26th place finish by crossing the finish line in a time of 29 minutes, 4 seconds.
