PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Junior center
Chris Gebhart (Cherry Hill West H.S./Cherry Hill, N.J.) posted his second straight "double double" with 15 points and a team-high 10 rebounds as Goldey-Beacom College (9-11, 7-7) held off Holy Family University (15-8, 9-5) to earn a 68-63 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over the Tigers at the Campus Center on Wednesday evening.
Led by Gebhart, the Lightning earned their third win in the last four games while handing the Tigers their third consecutive loss. In addition, Goldey-Beacom snapped a four-game losing streak against the Tigers.
In a tense game that featured eight ties and nine lead changes, the Lightning had to overcome a seven-point deficit in the second half to earn the victory. Trailing by a 41-34 margin with 14:21 remaining, the Lightning used an 11-4 run to tie the game at 45-45 with 9:44 left on a jumper by junior forward

After the teams battled to a 55-55 tie with 4:17 remaining, the Lightning tallied 8 of the next 11 points to take a 63-58 advantage with 1:19 remaining. The Tigers trimmed the margin to two points with 16 seconds remaining, but three free throws in the final 11 seconds secured the win for the Lightning.
The Lightning jumped out to a 28-25 lead in the first half after Gebhart scored seven points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Donte McGill (Mont Clare Academy/Newark, Del.) added 15 points while freshman guard
Parris Ridgeway-Higgs (Hodgson Vo-Tech H.S./New Castle, Del.) came off the bench to score 14 points with five rebounds.

Isaiah Gans (Redemption Christian Academy/Philadelphia, Pa.) led the Tigers in the loss by posting his third "double double" of the season with 16 points and a game-high 13 rebounds while sophomore forward
Derrick Stewart (Neumann-Goretti H.S./Philadelphia, Pa.) connected on 6 of 12 shots from the field to score a game-high 17 points.
The Lightning will return home on Saturday, Feb. 8 to host Bloomfield in a CACC match-up at the Jones Center at 3 p.m.
