Box Score Albany, N.Y.- The Lightning women's basketball team fell to 0-6 on the season as they were defeated in non-conference action by the College of Saint Rose Golden Knights on Monday night by a final score of 74-50.
Leading the way for the Lightning was freshman guard
Mikila Stefanski (Cedar Creek H.S./ Hammonton, N.J.) who came off of the bench to score a team high 15 points in 16 minutes. Stefanski hit 5-of-11 shots from the floor, including a 3-for-8 clip from beyond the arch. This marks the second consecutive game Stefanski has reached double figures after she posted a 17 point performance during Saturday's loss to the University of New Haven.
The Lightning also received a 10 point effort from senior guard,
Lillian Chukwueze, who posted her third double digit effort in the loss. Chukwueze returned from injury to hit 4-of-13 shots from the floor which included a 2-for-5 effort from three point range.
The Golden Knights were led by Jamie Hutcheson and Staci Barrett, who scored 17 and 16 points, respectively.
The Lightning will look for their first win of the season as they open up Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play when they host Georgian Court University on Wednesday evening. Tip-off is set for 5:30 PM.
