WILMINGTON, Del. – Junior middle hitter
Chelsea Hughes (Shoreham-Wading River H.S./Wading River, N.Y.) recorded 14 kills to lead Philadelphia University (7-9, 5-2) to its second win in a row, a four-set Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over Goldey-Beacom College (8-10, 3-6) at the Joseph West Jones College Center on Wednesday evening.
The Rams, who have won four of their last six matches, claimed the victory by set scores of 25-18, 14-25, 25-22 and 29-27.
Hughes was one of three Rams to record at least 10 kills in the victory. Freshman outside hitter
Erin Lyman (Huntley H.S./Algonquin, Ill.) contributed 12 kills with 16 digs while sophomore middle hitter
Lauren Laucella (Hatboro-Horsham H.S./Horsham, Pa.) came off the bench to post 10 kills with four blocks.
Sophomore defensive specialist
Lauren Chai (Berks Catholic H.S./Sinking Spring, Pa.) matched her season high with 25 digs along with a pair of service aces while junior setter
Nina Morvin (Saint Basil Academy/Willow Grove, Pa.) added 26 assists with eight digs.
Senior outside hitter
Kadi McCoy (Dallastown H.S./Dallastown, Pa.) led the Lightning with a match-high 18 kills and 13 digs while junior setter
Danielle Cipolletti (Scottsdale H.S./Scottsdale, Ariz.) posted a "double double" with 44 assists and a team-high 15 digs. Â Â Â
Quick Strikes· The Lightning and the Rams met for the 24th time in a series Philadelphia University leads by a 21-3 margin ... The Rams have won 18 straight meetings in the series ... Goldey-Beacom's last win in the series came on Nov. 5, 2005 with a three-set victory.

· McCoy posted her fourth "double double" of the season in Wednesday's loss against the Rams.
· McCoy posted her 12th 10-kill effort of the season on Wednesday night … With 254 kills in 18 matches, she leads the CACC … In addition, McCoy upped her school-record career total to 1,226 kills.
· McCoy also tallied 10 or more digs for the fifth time this season … Over her last six matches, she is averaging 10.5 digs per contest. Â
· Cipolletti earned her team-leading fifth "double double" of the year against Philadelphia University … She has posted three "double double" efforts in the last four matches.
· Cipolletti tallied 30 or more assists for the 11th time this season, including four of the last five matches … With 574 assists in 18 matches, Cipolletti continues to lead the CACC and ranks third in the CACC by averaging 8.83 assists per set.
· Cipolletti also posted 40 or more assists for the fourth time this year … She had 46 assists against Shippensburg on Sept. 5 before a 50-assist effort against Saint Anselm on Sept. 13 … In the Lightning's four-set win over the University of the Sciences, Cipolletti had 42 assists with 13 digs.
· Senior defensive specialist
Niki Receveur (Concord H.S./Wilmington, Del.) posted 10 or more digs for the 12th time this season after tallying 11 digs on Wednesday night … She increased her career total to 1,126 digs, the fifth-highest total in school history.
· Sophomore middle hitter
Grace McCarthy (Delaware Military Academy/Middletown, Del.) tallied a career-high 16 kills in the loss against Philadelphia University … She also set a career high with seven digs. Â
· Hughes, who ranks second in the CACC with 226 kills this season, has posted 10 or more kills in 15 of the Rams' 16 matches this year.
· Chai has tallied 20 or more digs in a match six times this season … She also had 25 digs in a five-set loss against Southern New Hampshire on Sept. 27.
· Lyman posted her fifth "double double" in the last seven matches … The reigning CACC Rookie of the Week, Lyman has also posted at least 10 kills in each of the last seven matches.
