Kadi McCoy nearly recorded a "double double" with 13 kills and 9 digs while junior setter
Danielle Cipolletti added 26 assists with five digs.
• Meanwhile, senior defensive specialist
Niki Receveur posted 10 or more digs for the 11th time this season with an 11-dig performance on Saturday afternoon ... She increased her career total to 1,115 digs, the fifth-highest total in school history.
• McCoy, who posted her 11th 10-kill match of the season, continues to lead the CACC in kills ... In 17 matches this season, the Dallastown, Pa. native has recorded 236 kills while averaging 3.87 kills per set ... She also ranks fourth in the CACC with 24 service aces.
• Cipolletti enters tonight's match leading the CACC with 530 assists while her 8.69 assist per set average ranks fourth in the conference ... She has posted 30 or more assists 10 times this year, including three efforts with 40 or more assists ... She had 42 assists in the Lightning's four-set victory over the University of the Sciences last Friday night.
• With a 6-9 overall record and a 4-2 mark in the CACC, the Rams have won three of their last five matches after posting a five-set victory at Concordia on Saturday to begin a three-match road trip ... The Rams dropped the first two sets against the Clippers before rallying to earn the victory ... Freshman outside hitter
Erin Lyman led the Rams by posting 13 kills with a .273 hitting percentage while junior middle hitter
Chelsea Hughes added 10 kills.
• Hughes leads the Rams and ranks fourth in the CACC with 212 kills ... She also ranks fifth in the CACC by averaging 3.37 kills per set and has posted 10 or more kills in 14 of the Rams' 15 matches this season, including a season-high 20 kills against Assumption.
• Junior setter
Nina Morvin will enter tonight's match ranked fourth in the CACC with 413 assists in 15 matches ... She earned her fifth "double double" of the season against Concordia on Saturday with 22 assists and 10 digs.
• The Lightning and the Rams will be meeting for the 24th time in a series Philadelphia University leads by a 20-3 margin ... The Rams have won 17 straight meetings in the series, including a pair of wins last year ... Goldey-Beacom's last win in the series came on Nov. 5, 2005 with a three-set victory.
• Goldey-Beacom will travel to the University of the Sciences on Friday night before hosting Mercy College in a non-conference match on Saturday afternoon as part of the College's Homecoming festivities.
