Reich Posts Third Top Five Finish of Season

Philadelphia Metro Meet Results: PDF

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Senior Stewart Reich (Gov. Thomas Johnson H.S./Frederick, Md.) posted a third place finish to lead the Goldey-Beacom College men's cross country team to a second place effort at the 34th Annual Philadelphia Metropolitan Cross Country Championships at the Belmont Plateau on Saturday afternoon.

Led by Reich, who earned his second top five finish of the season with a time of 28:03, the Lightning had four runners finish in the top 20 places.   

Sophomore Logan Jones (Tuscarora H.S./Frederick, Md.) finished in eighth place after crossing the finish line in the 8K race with a time of 29 minutes, 3 seconds. Sophomore Aaron Easter (Rising Sun H.S./Elkton, Md.) followed with a 13th place showing after a time of 29:44.

Freshmen Rudy Braxton (Hodgson Vo-Tech H.S./Bear, Del.) and Ludric Francis (Smyrna H.S./Smyrna, Del.) earned 20th and 33rd places, respectively, while senior Hugo Morales (Walkersville H.S./Frederick, Md.) turned in a time of 32:52 to earn 39th place.

Senior Jabari Chambers (Howard H.S./Wilmington, Del.) rounded out the Lightning's contingent after finishing the race in 43rd place with a time of 33:48.

The Lightning will compete at the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University on Saturday, Sept. 28.
