NEWARK, Del. – Senior
Stewart Reich (Gov. Thomas Johnson H.S./Frederick, Md.) earned fifth place in the Division II/III race to lead Goldey-Beacom College to a fifth place finish at the University of Delaware Invitational at White Clay Creek State Park on Saturday morning.
Reich, who placed 17th among all of the competitors, turned in a time of 27 minutes, 12 seconds as the Lightning scored 113 points. Wilmington University claimed the Division II/III title after scoring 29 points while Delaware TC followed in second place with 68 points.
Sophomore
Logan Jones (Tuscarora H.S./Frederick, Md.) finished in 14th place in the Division II/III race with a time of 28:01 while sophomore
Aaron Easter (Elkton H.S./Elkton, Md.) followed in 15th place by crossing the finish line in 28 minutes, 7 seconds.
Freshman
Rudy Braxton (Hodgson Vo-Tech H.S./Bear, Del.) placed 37th with a time of 29:27 while freshman
Ludric Francis (Smyrna H.S./Smyrna, Del.) followed in 58th place by completing the 8K race in 30:40.
The Lightning will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Philadelphia Metro Classic.
