CHESTER, Pa. - Freshman
Logan Jones (Tuscarora H.S./Frederick, Md.) posted an eighth place finish in the 10,000-meter run as members of the Goldey-Beacom College men's cross country team competed at the non-scoring Danny Curran Invitational at Leslie C. Quick, Jr. Stadium on Friday afternoon.
Jones, who also posted a 45th place effort in the 800-meter run, turned in a time of 34:16.68 to post the Lightning's lone top 10 finish of the meet.
Junior
Stewart Reich (Gov. Thomas Johnson H.S./Frederick, Md.) finished in 18th place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:01.96 while placing 39th in the 5000-meter run in a time of 16:09.63. Meanwhile, senior
David Zartler (Perryville H.S./Perryville, Md.) turned in a time of 24.05 seconds in the 200-meter dash while completing the 400-meter dash in 53.84 seconds.
Junior
Jabari Chambers (Howard H.S./Wilmington, Del.) finished the 400-meter dash in 43rd place after posting a time of 56.13 seconds while earning 61st place in the 1500-meter run by crossing the finish line in 4:41.49.
Sophomore
Angelo Melendez (Elmont Memorial H.S./Valley Stream, N.Y.) finished in 41st place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.00 seconds while posting a time of 2:17.46 in the 800-meter run.
