WILMINGTON, Del. – Junior defender Mikie Bradley (Jackson Memorial H.S./Jackson, N.J.) scored two goals, including the eventual game-winning marker, to lead Bloomfield College (5-7-1, 4-3-1) to its third straight win, a 3-2 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory over Goldey-Beacom College (1-10-1, 0-9-1) at the Lightning's Nancy Churchman-Sawin Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Deacons, who have earned all three victories during the current win streak by a one-goal margin, moved into a tie for seventh place in the CACC standings with the win. The top eight teams in the final standings advance to the CACC Tournament.

Bradley, who is the Deacons' leading goal scorer, gave Bloomfield a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute when she sent a free kick from 40 yards into the top right corner of the goal.

But, the Lightning answered less than eight minutes later when junior forward Alexandra Smith (Pennsville Memorial H.S./Pennsville, N.J.) tallied her third goal of the season off an assist from freshman midfielder Jane Grimley (Delsea Regional H.S./Franklinville, N.J.).

In the 23rd minute, the Deacons regained their one-goal edge when junior forward Justine Ndiba (Roxbury H.S./Roxbury, N.J.) scored her first goal of the season off a rebound of a shot by freshman midfielder Sammy Bucknell (New Bedford H.S./Acushnet, Mass.) that hit the right goalpost.

Just over two minutes later, Bradley upped the Bloomfield lead to 3-1 when she converted a pass from Ndiba for her second goal of the match.

With 11:53 remaining in the first half, the Lightning closed the deficit to 3-2 after senior forward Danielle Semenza (Hazleton Area H.S./Hazle Township, Pa.) collected a pass from Smith and scored her first goal of the year on a shot to the near side.

Led by senior goalkeeper Sashagay Spence (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica), the Deacons limited Goldey-Beacom to just five shots in the second half en route to securing the victory.

While Bradley led the Deacons' offensive effort, Ndiba added a goal with an assist. Spence made four saves, including three in the second half, as Bloomfield outshot Goldey-Beacom by a 19-9 margin.

Senior Michelle Foster (Overbrook H.S./West Berlin, N.J.) made seven saves in the loss for the Lightning, who were playing in their final home game of the season.

The Lightning, who dropped their third straight game, will be idle until Saturday, Oct. 26 when they travel to Concordia for a CACC contest against the Clippers at 12 p.m.
