Updating the Lightning
Now 3-4 overall and 1-0 in the CACC, the Lightning have won three of their last four games after an 85-76 road victory over Mercy College on Wednesday night. The Lightning, who are in the middle of a five-game road trip, have averaged 93.3 points per game in their last three contests while shooting over 50.0 per cent from the field in each game. Scouting Concordia
Currently 2-6 overall and 0-3 in the CACC, the Clippers will be looking to rebound from a tough 80-79 road setback against Felician College on Wednesday night. The Clippers, who were playing their fifth consecutive road game, were led by senior forward Argelix Gil, who had 18 points and 9 rebounds. Meanwhile, freshman guard Jamie Holder contributed a "double double" by scoring 11 points with a game-high 10 rebounds. Junior guard Norman Pope is the Clippers' leading scorer with a 16.8 average, which ranks seventh in the CACC. Meanwhile, Gil is averaging 15.0 points per game while leading the team with a .467 field goal percentage. Coach Brian Sondey is in his third season at Concordia and led the Clippers to their first CACC playoff appearance last season.

Picard Leads Lightning to 85-76 Win Over Mercy
Junior guard A.J. Picard scored a career-high 25 points and matched his season high with seven rebounds as the Lightning earned their second straight win with an 85-76 victory at Mercy College on Wednesday night. After opening the year with an 0-3 record, the Lightning have now won three of the last four games. Picard, who recorded his second 20-point effort of the season, made 7 of 16 field goal attempts along with all eight of his free throws as the Lightning overcame a one-point half-time deficit to earn the win. Junior forward Jordan Thorpe added his first "double double" of the season with 13 points and a season-high 18 rebounds.

Lightning Hit Century Mark Against Puerto Rico-Mayaquez
Led by six players who scored in double figures, the Lightning erupted for a season-high 110 points in their victory over the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaquez on Saturday night in the consolation game of the Nova Southeastern University Thanksgiving Classic. It marked the Lightning's highest single-game point total since tallying 110 points against Penn State-Abington on Nov. 22, 2008 at the Jones Center. In addition, the 110 points were the most scored by a team in the CACC since Bloomfield tallied 116 points in a win over Concordia on Feb. 9, 2011.

Jackson Named to Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament Team
After leading the Lightning to a split of their two games last weekend, sophomore guard Charles Jackson was named as the Lightning's representative on the Nova Southeastern University Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament Team. Jackson, who averaged 19.5 points per game in the two contests, scored a career-high 24 points in the Lightning's 110-68 win over the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaquez on Saturday night after a 15-point performance against the host Sharks on Friday evening in an 87-85 setback. The Lightning's third-leading scorer with a 9.9 average, Jackson has averaged 15.0 points per game in his last three contests while shooting 56.3 per cent from the field.

Making Them Count

In addition, he also made all eight of his free throw attempts at Towson on Nov. 12 in an exhibition game. Over his last 13 games (excluding the Towson exhibition), the Skippack, Pa. native has made 56 of his last 59 free throw attempts (.949).

What's Ahead for Goldey-Beacom
The Lightning will finish their five-game road trip on Wednesday, Dec. 5 when they travel to Millersville University for a non-conference matchup against the Marauders.
