2012 Goldey-Beacom College Fall Classic Men's Results (PDF Format)
WILMINGTON, Del. – Led by junior
Stewart Reich (Gov. Thomas Johnson H.S./Frederick, Md.), the Goldey-Beacom College men's cross country team finished in third place at the 2012 Goldey-Beacom College Fall Classic at Carousel Park on Friday afternoon.
Reich, who posted his fourth top 10 finish in five races this season, earned eighth place with a time of 29:17 to lead the Lightning, who tallied 118 points. Wilmington University won the men's team title by scoring 38 points while Hood College followed in 78 points.
Freshman
Logan Jones (Tuscarora H.S./Frederick, Md.) posted a 14th place finish by completing the 8K race in 30 minutes, 34 seconds while junior
Hugo Morales (Walkersville H.S./Frederick, Md.) was 31st with a time of 32:45.
Senior
David Zartler (Perryville H.S./Perryville, Md.) posted a time of 33:42 to earn 40th place while junior
Jabari Chambers (Howard H.S./Wilmington, Del.) followed in 45th place by crossing the finish line in 34:05.
Sophomore
Angelo Melendez (Elmont Memorial H.S./Valley Stream, N.Y.) finished in 68th place with a time of 36:44 while freshman
Ethan Burton (Red Lion Christian Academy/Middletown, Del.) had a time of 40:47, which was good for 92nd place.
The Lightning will compete the University of Delaware Blue and Gold Meet on Friday, Oct. 12 at 2:45 p.m.
