WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Members of the Goldey-Beacom College men's and women's cross country team competed in the Golden Ram Invitational hosted by West Chester University, and all totaled, they broke three school track records and combined for 11 new events breaking into the school's all-time record list.
Junior Ben Kinley broke two school records with a 4:30 in the 1500-meter and a 10:39 in the 3000-meter Steeplechase. He won his heat in the 1500 and placed fifth overall in the 3000-Steeplechase.
Freshman Brandon Turner won his heat and placed fifth on the school's all-time record list in the 200-meter dash with a 24.48. He also set a new school record in the 100-meter dash with a 11.74.
Also on the men's side, freshman Stewart Reich ran a 4:37 1500-meter race to place fifth on the school's all-time list, and a 2:09 800-meter to place sixth on the school's all-time list. Sophomore David Zartler placed third on the school's all-time list with a 24.3 finish in the 200-meter dash.
For the women runners, sophomore Alyssa Murray placed 7th on the school's all-time records list with a 1:12 in the 400-meter. Freshman Tigan Frisby cracked into the third spot in the 100-meter dash with a 14.3, and fourth on the 200-meter dash list with a 29.5. Sophomore Elizabeth Williams placed 2nd all-time with a 13:10 3000-meter run, and freshman Symone Stewart placed 8th all-time with a 1:13 400-meter.
