PIKE CREEK, Del. - Junior
Andre Jank put Goldey-Beacom College ahead 1-0 a little over three minutes into the game, but the upset-minded Lightning could not stove off a relentless Eagle attack as they fell to Post University, 3-1 on Homecoming Saturday at Nancy Churchman-Sawin Field.
GBC held on to that 1-0 lead unti the 29th minute, but two Post goals in a span of 43 seconds sent the visiting Eagles to a 2-1 halftime lead, and the Eagles' Hylton Davis netted an insurance goal just minutes into the second half to secure the victory.
Post, which came into the game ranked sixth in the East Region, out-shot the Lightning 21-10 and took eight corner kicks to GBC's five. Goalkeeper Errol Reid made three stops and allowed one goal in a full 90 minutes of work.

With GBC still ahead 1-0 late into the first half, Eltany Morais evened the score as he headed in a cross from Korab Muaremi at the 28:30 mark. Not one minute later, Peter Cleary scored what would prove to be the game-winner on a direct kick from outside the box. Post would take a 2-1 lead into the intermission.
Almost four minutes into the second half, Davis scored on a corner kick play off an assist from Peter Cleary to put Post up 3-1, and that is how the score would stand.
