At Goldey-Beacom: Second-year goalkeeper…should be the team’s No. 1 starting goalie in 2010.

2009 Season: Appeared in 13 games and made six starts…allowed 21 goals (2.30 avg. per game) and made 53 saves (.716 save pct.)…ranked No. 8 in the CACC in goals against average and No. 9 in save percentage…had two complete game shutouts in wins against Lincoln (9/9) and Felician (9/26) and combined with fellow goalkeeper Andrew Cairns for a shutout win versus Bloomfield (10/26)…collected three assists from his goalkeeper position…made a season-high seven saves against St. Thomas Aquinas (9/30).

High School: Attended Instituto Educacional Aragua and played for the Aragua Futbol Club which was ranked 4^th nationally…also competed for the Academia Venezolana de Futbol and helped them place 3^rd at the international L’Accudia Tournament in La Coruna, Spain…the team also placed 2^nd at the Wels International Tournament in Wells, Austria…was named the Best U-17 goalkeeper of Aragua during the 2006-07 season.

Personal: Ignacio “Nacho” Farias…chose to come to GBC so he could ultimately get a good job…chose to play Division II athletics so he could reach his athletic potential…enjoys listening to music and running…describes himself as “responsible.”
