CHESTER, Pa. – The Lightning men's and women's track teams competed at the Widener University Invitational meet this past weekend.
Here were some of the highlights:
Women: Freshman Elizabeth Williams had outstanding performances in both the 1500 meter run and the 800 meter run. Williams's times were 5:45 and 2:48.
Men: Freshman David Zartler had outstanding performances in the 1500 meter run, 800 meter run and the 400 meter run. Zartler's times were 4:39, 2:08 and 53.9 sec.
Sophomore Ben Kinley broke a school record in the 3000 steeple chase with a time of 11:22.
The Lightning track teams are back in action this Sat. when they compete at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, N.J.
