Wilmington, DE - Nolan's 18 leads Lightning
The Goldey-Beacom College women's basketball team faced Philadelphia University last night, in a CACC matchup. The Rams raced to a 14-2 early advantage, and coasted into intermission, with a 39-15 advantage.
The Lightning came out of the locker room for the second half and played a different kind of basketball. The Lightning went almost pound for pound with Philadelphia University throughout the second half, playing defense, crashing the boards and capitalizing on turnovers. Unfortunately, Philadelphia's lead was too much to overcome, as the Lightning fell 80-54.
Kellyn Nolan racked up 18 points, 4 boards, and 2 assists to lead the Lightning.
The Lightning will head to the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 for a 6:00pm game.
