PHILADELPHIA – Paced by sophomore Ben Kinley's 31st place finish, the Goldey-Beacom College men's cross country team finished ninth of 10 at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship meet at rain-soaked Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia on Saturday.
Philadelphia University, which had four runners among the top-six overall, won the meet with a team score of 32. Wilmington followed in second at 43 and Felician finished third at 73. The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (134) and Bloomfield College (155) rounded out the top-five.
Kinley was the Lightning's top-finisher, coming in at a time of 30:53 to take 31st place overall. Sophomore Paul Graybeal followed at 39th with a time of 31:41.
Freshman David Zartler and senior Seneca Curry each finished in the top-50. Zartler took 48th with a time of 33:23 and Curry placed 50th with a time of 33:34.
