Wilmington, DE – Steele's 12 points led Lightning as team drops to Holy Family

Freshman Ashley Steele led the Lightning in their quest against CACC rival Holy Family University last night.

The Lightning started the game struggling against the dominate Holy Family Tigers.  The Tigers took control from the beginning and took control of the game clock.  The Lightning went into the locker room at the half down 38-10.

The Lightning were able to find some available spots to score in the second half of the game.  Ashley Steele led the Lightning's charge scoring all of her 12 points in the second half.  Steele also led the Lightning in rebounds with 7 and steals with 3.  Though the efforts of Steele and the other Lightning were much improved in the second half it was not enough to come back and the Lightning dropped to Holy Family 73-37.

The Lightning will go on a one game road trip to Columbia Union College this Saturday, January 17, 2009 for a 6:30pm game.
