Dominican, NY – White leads Lightning to second straight CACC victory at Dominican College

The first half was competitive, as the Lightning and Chargers traded baskets, until the host went on a late run to take a lead by six (34-28) at half.   

The Lightning battled back in the second half, and took the final lead of the game with a layup shot by junior Kyle White.  The game remained close until a foul was called with 1.6 seconds remaining.  Sophomore Azeez Ellegood sealed the 79-67 win against Dominican College, by knocking down 10 straight free throw shots (8 of them from technical fouls).

White led the Lightning with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists, while Sam McDuffie was right behind him with 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals.  Adrian Miles also filled the stat page with 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals. 

The Lightning will next host Holy Family University on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 8:00pm.
