Wilmington, DE – Lightning Tennis continues win streak with win over Shippensburg

The Lightning women's tennis hosted Shippensburg University today for a non-conference match-up.  The Lightning started with their doubles matches taking two of three.  Doubles pair Luisiana Souto and Luciana Pereira dominated their match with an 8-1 victory, while Daniela Pereira and Anastoshia Lewis won 8-5 over their opponents.

Souto then led the charge in the singles with a 6-0; 6-1 win.  Luciana and Daniela Pereira both defeated their opponents 6-2; 6-1, Anastoshia Lewis and Jennifer Jones continued their winning ways with straight-set victories. 

The Lightning took the match 7-2 over Shippensburg University.  The Lightning will next play host to last year's conference champions Holy Family University on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 4:00pm.
