Wilmington, DE – Weldon leads Lady Lightning in scoring but drop non-conference game to Millersville

The Lady Lightning played host to Millersville University on Wednesday night.  The Lightning were the first to score and jumped out to a 6-3 lead over the Lady Marauders.  It was then Millersville who took control of the game and led at the half 35-17. 

The Lightning pushing hard to climb back into the game but were unsuccessful and dropped to Millersville 69-30. 

Janae Weldon led the Lightning with 10 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal.  Kellyn Nolan added 6 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals to the Lightning game. 

The Lightning will next travel to Bloomsburg University on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 for a 6:00pm game.
