Wilmington, DE – Men's Cross Country ties for 5^th at GBC Fall Classic

The Lightning men's cross-country team hosted their yearly meet today, the Goldey-Beacom College Fall Cross Country Classic. 

With the home course advantage, the Lightning was able to fight for their positions early on in the race.  Soufiane Sadikina led the Lightning in the front pack, and finished in 5^th place with a course time of 29:06.7.  Ben Kinley finished next for the Lightning with a time of 31:05.4.  Paul Graybeal was next in 41^st place with a time of 32:25.9.  Steve Pavina was close behind Graybeal in 43^rd place at 32:41.6.  Andrew Madden came in next with a time of 32:53.0 in 48^th place.   Mike Williams finished with a 34.23.9 time, which was good for 61^st place.  Seneca Curry ran in 73^rd position with a time of 36:39.0 while Russell Kramedas ran in 41:04.5.  Jon Michalechen rounded out the Lightning's team with a time of 45:46.8. 

The Lightning men's team finished in 6th place overall for the event.  The Lightning will next race at the Cabrini College Invitational next Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Belmont Plateau.
