Sadikina leads men's cross-country to 7th place finish

Philadelphia, PA – Sadikina leads Men's Cross-Country to 7th place finish

 

Soufiane Sadikina, a graduate student from Casablanca, Morocco, led the Lightning men's cross-country team in pursuit of the CACC Cross-Country Championships this past Saturday. 

 

Sadikina finished with a time of 27:58.98 to place him in 10th position, four spots and almost thirty seconds faster from last year's CACC Championship.  Steve Pavina was next to cross the line for the Lightning with a time of 30:38.53 to place him in 38th position.  Ben Kinley and Paul Graybeal were on Pavina heels coming in 40th (30:56.93) and 41st (31:03.91) respectively, while Andrew Madden was next in 49th place with a time of 31:59.16.  Rounding out the Lightning was Mike Williams in 53rd place with a time of 32:29.76 and Seneca Curry in 59th place with a time of 33:54.56.

 

The Lightning men finished in 7th place overall.

 

The Lightning will next race in Boston, Massachusetts for the NCAA East Regional Championships on November 8, 2008.
