2009 Season: Appeared in all 31 matches and 76 sets…fifth on the team in digs (124) and service aces (11)…recorded seven assists, one kill and one block…had a career-high 11 digs against Wilmington (9/24)…pitched in with nine digs and two assists in Lightning’s thrilling 3-2 come-from-behind win at Chestnut Hill (9/17).
2008 Season: Played in all 28 matches and 49 sets…recorded 54 digs, eight service aces, one kill and one assist...had a season-high seven digs against University of the Sciences (9/23)…had a career-high three aces in the season-opener against Lincoln (9/3).
High School: Played softball and volleyball at Delmar High School under Paul Anthony…was named 1st Team All-State Catcher.
Personal: Lauren Witzke…also played two seasons of softball at GBC and was named 1st Team All-Conference in Spring 2010…sang the national anthem at the GBC 2009 graduation ceremony…chose GBC and Division II athletics because the faculty was really nice, the school was small and the liked the girls on the volleyball and softball teams…enjoys painting, singing, eating and collecting coins…describes herself as “fabulous.”
