At Goldey-Beacom: Second-year transfer from New Jersey City University who should vie for a starting position on the Lightning backline in 2010.
2009 Season: Appeared in 12 games and started in 11…assisted on a goal against Chestnut Hill (9/23)…tied for fifth on the team with 18 shots.
At NJCU:
2008 Season: Played in 14 games and started 13…tallied four points on one goal and two assists…took 11 shots and put 3 on goal.
2007 Season: Saw action in 17 games and made 16 starts…fourth on the team in points with eight…scored two goals and posted a team third-best four assists…took 10 shots and put eight on goal.
High School: Played four years of soccer at Pennsville Memorial…All-Salem County…twice named team’s most valuable player…participated in Student Council…honor student.
Personal: Ashley Welch…chose to attend GBC for its degree program…chose to play Division II “because soccer is amazing”…high school teammate of Dawn Curry (Holy Family), Kelly Reilly (NJCU) and Taylor Faunt (GBC)…enjoys going to Wawa, playing soccer and drinking lemonade…describes herself as “amazingly lush.”
