At Goldey-Beacom: Will compete for playing time on the Lightning forward line in 2010.
High School: Four-year player at Dover High School under Kristin Lupo…played on three state tournament teams from 2007-2009…first-team all-conference Fall 2009…played in the Delaware Blue-White game for the victorious Blue team…Dover High School Girls’ Soccer Academic Scholar in 2007, 2009 and 2010…History Club president…member of the National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America, Earth Day committee, and the Make a Difference Day committee…completed a kindergarten tutoring internship…Business Professionals team took second place at the state conference and competed at the national level…honor roll all four years…Dover Officers’ Spouses’ Club Scholarship winner.
Cappiello on Ford: “Allie also brings positional flexibility to the GBC unit. She is a strong athlete with good pace and physical strength. She also brings a high level of determination and desire to her individual and team game - the intangibles of performance. She is in the process of being the type of player that will be better in college than in her youth career.”
Personal: Alexandra “Allie” Ford…chose GBC because of the academic programs it offered…chose to play Division II athletics because it has been her dream to play soccer in college and GBC gave her that chance…enjoys painting, playing multiple sports and spending time with friends and family…describes herself as “ginger.”
