Abdul Alhassan-Chibsah recently earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware, and was also a three-year starter for the Blue Hens men’s soccer team.
Prior to becoming a Blue Hen, he spent his freshman year with Carson-Newman in 2007. The Eagles won their regular season conference championship and went on to the second round of the NCAA Division II men's soccer tournament.
Chibsah led Delaware to its first-ever Colonial Athletic Association tournament in 2010, and helped the Hens push eventual champion William & Mary to the final seconds of double overtime before succumbing to a goal in the 110th minute of a thrilling semifinal game.
In 2011, he was selected as one of 101 players in the nation to participate in the USL Player Combine in Charleston, S.C.
A native from Ghana, Chibsah has 19 years of soccer experience from the amateur level in Ghana, through the collegiate, national and professional ranks. He spent part of this past Summer training with professional clubs in the Swedish Allsvenskan league, where his older brother, Yussif Alhassan Chibsah, is a member of the Ghanaian national soccer team.
He also served as a soccer camp counselor at Delaware Soccer Camps, for kids from six to twelve years old, and also for four years at a residential soccer camp for high school students.
