Goldey-Beacom visited eighth-ranked Bloomsburg on Saturday afternoon, falling 3-0.
Bloomsburg (3-1) struck early, taking a 1-0 lead just 1:51 into the match when Owen Hollobaugh found the back of the net off an assist from Zayd DeVeaux. The Huskies extended their lead in the 64th minute when Shawn Estelle Jr. scored off an assist from Drew Hollida. Nicholas Guzak added another goal for Bloomsburg 10 minutes later as part of the squad's 26-9 shots edge, with assists from Keenan Lynch and Jace Black.
Goldey-Beacom sophomore Adham Mohamed (West Windsor, NJ) finished the match with seven saves. Freshman Yuma Reichert (Offenbach, Germany) and senior Derrick Muhire (Kigali, Rwanda) led the Lightning (0-2-1) with two shots apiece. Junior Sam Ball (Salisbury, MD), sophomore Matt Porto (Wilmington, DE), sophomore Trevor Sullivan (Camden, DE), sophomore Alex Sonne (Norman, OK)Â and freshman Franek Sadczuk (Chester, England) each recorded one shot.
GBC returns to action Wednesday against the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown at Nancy Churchman Sawin Field, starting at 1:00 pm.
