Track & Field Sees Three Win CACC Weekly Honors

Goldey-Beacom's Track & Field squads saw junior Jalen Wright (Wilmington, DE) named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week with sophomore Ryley Dixon (Pilesgrove, NJ) and senior Jourdyn Rumph (Ardmore, PA) picked to the Women's Weekly Honor Roll.

Wright placed first in the 400-meter dash in 47.99 seconds, second in the 100-meter dash in 10.90 seconds and was part of the 4x400 relay that took first place in 3:19.73. All took place at the Ursinus Track & Field Festival in Collegeville, PA.

Wright last season was tabbed CACC Men's Track Athlete of the Year and USTFCCCA All-East Region.

Dixon placed first in the 200-meter dash in 25.04 seconds, third in the 100-meter dash in 12.55 seconds, and 10th in the 400-meter dash in 1:01.76.

Dixon a season ago was picked CACC Women's Track Rookie of the Year and USTFCCCA All-East Region.

Rumph placed second in discus throw at 38.71 meters, third in hammer throw at 42.77 meters and third in shot put at 11.55 meters.

Rumph last season closed second at the CACC Championship in the hammer throw, sixth in the shot put and seventh in the discus throw.
