Goldey-Beacom Track and Field sent select athletes to compete in the prestigious Penn Relays in Philadelphia, PA.

For the men, junior Jalen Wright (Wilmington, DE) competed in the 400-meter hurdles and saw a 32nd place finish with a time of 53.65 seconds. In the 4x200 Championship of America, junior Jose Cornejo (Sinaloa, Mexico), junior Bostwick Patten (Middletown, DE), junior Chris Robinson (Philadelphia, PA) and Jalen Wright placed 14th with a time of 1:27.68.  Patten, sophomore David Yunga (Philadelphia, PA), freshman Quran McCoy (Mays Landing, NJ), and senior Kedar Reid (Bear, DE) finished 26th with 3:26.18 in the 4x400 relay. In the Sprint Medley Championship of America, Robinson, Cornejo, Wright, and freshman Cardin Benjamin (Lewes, DE) placed 21st with a time of 3:36.76.

For the women, sophomore Narlia Albert (Vieux Fort, St. Lucia), freshman Ana Thaler (Ljubljana, Slovenia), sophomore Lara Zinsou-Bodé (Reinbek, Germany) and sophomore Aiyana Adams (Pittsburgh, PA) placed 17th in the 4x100 with a time of 51.62. In the 4x200 Championship of America, junior Tania Alfaro (San Jose, Costa Rica), sophomore Liv Drewling (Düsseldorf, Germany), freshman Anna Pissarotti (Italy) and sophomore Ryley Dixon (Pilesgrove, NJ) finished 21st with a time of 1:41.52, and the same relay team saw a 19th place finish in the Sprint Medley Championship of America with a time of 4:13.48.
