Women’s Basketball Falls at Felician

Goldey-Beacom went to North Jersey to face the second-place team from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference and was dealt a 90-49 loss by Felician in Rutherford, NJ.
 
Felician gained control by scoring 28 points in the second quarter on 10-of-14 shooting for a 47-18 lead.  Stephanie Formby netted 11 points in the period with Ane Valle adding 10.
 
Junior Genesis Garcia (Aguada, PR) closed with 14 points and senior Rory Ciszkowski (Wilmington, DE) added eight and five assists for the Lightning (5-17, 5-10 CACC).  Ciszkowski now is at 1,219 career points, moving into ninth place in team history.
 
Formby ended with 26 points with Valle getting 25 and 12 rebounds for the Golden Falcons (17-6, 11-4), who shot 58 percent (38-of-66) from the floor.
 
Goldey-Beacom next Wednesday is home to battle Georgian Court at 6:00 pm.  The men's game between the same schools follows at 8:00 pm.
