Goldey-Beacom women's basketball faced off against CACC opponent Caldwell in Wilmington, DE but was dealt an 86-48 loss in the Joseph West Jones Center.
Caldwell came out strong from the opening quarter, putting up 24 points after the first 10 minutes of play and heading into halftime with a comfortable 20-point lead. Goldey-Beacom was unable to close the gap in the second half and with Caldwell's impressive offense throughout the game, the Cougars picked up their sixth conference victory and 13th win of the season.
Goldey-Beacom was led by freshman Eva Walker (Wilmington, DE) with 17 points. Sophomore Lydia Betz (Pittsburgh, Pa.) added 12 points and two blocks and senior Rory Ciszkowski (Wilmington, DE) notched 10 rebounds.
Caldwell was led by Lucy Coogan with 23 points and 10 rebounds, Jah'Nel Lewis with 17 points and seven rebounds, and Neysa Aguilar with 14 points.
Goldey-Beacom plays next on Wednesday, when it travels to Philadelphia, PA to face Chestnut Hill at 6:00 pm.
