Goldey-Beacom softball was tested late in both games by CACC opponent Fellician, but ended both games in walk-off style to get the sweep.
Game one saw the Lightning get out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning after freshman Bri Cole (Rising Sun, Md.) walked to advance sophomore McKenna Frank (Oxford, Pa.) home and senior Alex Lowry (Wenonah, N.J.) batted in fellow senior Ariana Mirenda (Reading, Pa). The fourth inning then saw doubles from senior Winter Radcliffe (Glen Burnie, Md.) and Frank to score three more runs.
Felician scored its first run on a walk and then added three more on a double to left field from Mikayla Brown. Freshman Josalyn McMillan (Rising Sun, Md.) hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth inning to send Lowry home before Felician tied the score at six in the top of seventh on a two-RBI single from Mikayla Brown.
In the bottom of the seventh, McMillan and Frank both hit singles up the middle and Mirenda had the walk-off hit with two outs to send McMillan home for the winning run.
Senior Caitlyn Burch (Mechanicsville, Md.) improved to 13-3 from the mound after having two strikeouts in her two innings pitched.
Game two saw a similar ending, but this time going to nine innings.
Felician came out hot in the first inning, scoring three runs on doubles from Mikayla Brown and Kimberly Torres and a single from Sara Torres. GBC came out just as hot in its first at-bats with Mirenda hitting her second inside-the-park home run of the season to score two runs and McMillan having another sacrifice fly to advance senior Bryn Bohmann (Saskatoon, SK) home. Lowry had a single up the middle in the third inning to send Radcliffe home.
In the fourth inning, the Lightning scored three more runs on singles from Frank and Radcliffe and a walk by Mirenda. Felician was able to tie the score in the top of the seventh inning on an inside the park home run from Mikayla Brown and send the game to extra innings.
The walk-off hit in this game came from Frank, who hit a sacrifice fly to center field to send senior Bri Snover (Claymont, DE)  home for the winning run.
Senior Morgan McLane (Clayton, DE) picked up her 31st career win from the mound, putting her in third place in school history for career wins. McLane now is at 256 career strikeouts, remaining third in team history.
Goldey-Beacom plays next on Tuesday, where they travel to Philadelphia, Pa to face Jefferson in a doubleheader at 2:30 pm.
