Women’s Tennis Handed 7-0 Loss by Indiana (PA)

Goldey-Beacom looked to close its home portion of the 2024-25 season in style, but was dealt a 7-0 loss by Indiana (PA) at Delcastle Tennis Center in Wilmington, DE.
 
Senior Elizabeth Mova (Sevastopol, Ukraine), named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Month for March, took Lieselotte Hartlohner to a third set at first singles before handed a 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 setback.  Senior Lucia Corte (Gijon, Spain) won the first set at No. 6 singles against Annemiek Sterk, but fell 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-8).
 
Goldey-Beacom (13-5) was in the national rankings for three weeks, but fell out earlier this week despite not losing.  It was ranked as high as 47th.
 
The Crimson Hawks improve to 10-6.
 
Goldey-Beacom next Tuesday visits Millersville for a 4:00 pm match.
