Men’s Basketball Handed 88-84 Loss By West Chester

Goldey-Beacom almost rallied from a 16-point deficit, but was dealt an 88=84 loss by West Chester at the Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.
 
Sophomore Tre Powell (Mount Laurel, NJ) scored 23 points on 6-of-10 shooting, junior Emarquis Jones (Brooklyn, NY) netted 18 and sophomore Brian Blanchet (North Babylon, NY) added 10 for the Lightning (3-1).
 
Ruben Rodriguez Jr. scored 22 points, Gabe Moss poured in 18, Anthony McCall had 17 and Nix Varano was outstanding with 15 for the Golden Rams (3-1).
 
Goldey-Beacom next Tuesday opens play in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference at Caldwell.  Game time is at 7:30 pm, which follows the women's 5:30 pm contest.
