Camilla Franzin and Jenna Frank Each Named All-CACC for Women’s Tennis; Goldey-Beacom Captures League’s Sportsmanship Award

10/17/2025 12:00:00 AM

Goldey-Beacom sophomore Camilla Franzin (Trieste, Italy) was named first team All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference for Women's Tennis, freshman Jenna Frank (Ulm, Germany) was tabbed second team and the squad won the league's Sportsmanship Award.

Franzin stepped into the top spot both in doubles and singles and has played a major role in the Lightning getting back to the CACC Tournament a second straight year.  Franzin is 6-1 both in doubles and singles.  Her only singles loss was in a third-set tiebreak against Wilmington's Siana MacDonald, the league's Co-Player of the Year.

Frank also has been a welcomed addition, possessing a 6-4 record both in singles and doubles.  She is 4-2 in third singles, 2-1 at No. 2 and had to play number one against regular-season champion Jefferson when injuries beset the squad.  Frank has a 5-2 record at No. 2 doubles with victories in five of her last six matches.

Goldey-Beacom (5-5, 5-5 CACC) has maintained its solid play after making the conference tournament last fall and ranked as high as 47th nationally in the spring.  The squad has won four of its last five matches, including a 4-3 victory Thursday over Chestnut Hill to clinch third place.

Goldey-Beacom on Saturday either will be the number three seed for the CACC Tournament and play No. 2 Wilmington (DE) at 1:00 pm.  The tournament will take place at Delcastle Tennis Center in Wilmington.
