Goldey-Beacom Sees Four More Cited By The CACC

Goldey-Beacom this week saw sophomore Camilla Franzin (Trieste, Italy) named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, freshman Eerik Nou Wihlborg (Helsingborg, Sweden) tabbed Men's Cross Country's Rookie of the Week, junior John Ferry (Rising Sun, MD) named to the Weekly Honor Roll and senior Haley Schofield (Wilmington, DE) picked to the Women's Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll.

Camilla Franzin went 3-0 on the week in doubles and 2-1 in singles, all at No. 1. She helped record a big 7-5 doubles win over Wilmington, won a match tiebreak in singles against Post and her only loss came in a third-set tiebreak against Wilmington in which she fought off two match points in the second set.

Franzin is 5-0 in doubles on the year and 4-1 in singles. Her play has been a major part of the Lightning clinching a spot in the CACC Tournament a second straight year.

Nou Wihlborg ended third at the Golden Ram Invitational in 16:13.7 and Ferry was second in 16:09.1. For Ferry, it was his fourth top-10 finish of the season and it helped Goldey-Beacom win the meet.

Schofield closed fourth at the Golden Ram Invitational in 21:26.2.
