(2024-25 schedule)

Looking to build on a star-spangled fall that got it back in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament, Goldey-Beacom seeks to improve its standout play and continue building against a tough 2025 spring schedule.

Goldey-Beacom begins the spring with two matches at Delcastle Tennis Center, hosting Shippensburg on March 19 and East Stroudsburg three days later.  GBC then hits the road March 25 to visit West Chester and two days later is at the District of Columbia.

The squad on April 1 hosts Kutztown before a trip to New England for two matches.  Goldey-Beacom on April 4 visits American International and the next day is at Bentley.

GBC on April 15 is at Millersville before ending the spring three days later at The College of New Jersey.

One of the key players on the squad is freshman Sofia Lopez (Bogota, Colombia), who enjoyed an impeccable fall that saw her named first team All-CACC.  She amassed a 12-0 singles record that included 10-0 at fifth singles and an 8-3 doubles mark with all at No. 2.  Eleven of her singles wins were in straight sets and four were "double bagels."

Lopez needs just four more singles wins to reach the school's single-season top-10 list.

Also back is junior Zehra Canbaz (Denizli, Turkiye), another standout competitor who was tabbed first team all-league.  One the squad's focal players, she recorded an 8-4 singles record that included 6-4 at No. 2 singles and 8-3 at doubles that includes 5-2 at No. 2.  She notched seven of her singles victories in straight sets and had four-match winning streaks this season both in singles and doubles.

Junior Nahomi Quinonez (Manta, Ecuador), the 2023 CACC Rookie of the Year, had another tremendous fall in which she went 9-3 in doubles that included a pair of four-match winning streaks.  She also went 7-4 in singles that included ending the regular season taking five of her last seven matches.

Senior Lucia Corte (Gijon, Spain) also played a big role, closing 8-3 in singles last fall and 6-5 in doubles.  She closed the regular season winning seven of her last eight singles matches with six of those victories coming in straight sets.

Bernard Flowers also gained notoriety in the fall by being named CACC Coach of the Year.  In his fourth season, Flowers helped the Lightning record the No. 2 seed for the CACC Tournament and make the field for the first time since 2019.

Goldey-Beacom (8-4, 7-3 CACC) last fall mixed youth and experience in advancing to the CACC Tournament for the first time since 2019.  The squad's clutch play helped it finish with the number two seed in the tournament, gaining a spot in the semifinals.
