Senior Ashwin Jood (Pretoria, South Africa) continued his standout campaign for Goldey-Beacom in being picked the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week a second consecutive week.
Jood took second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.09 seconds and sixth in the 200-meter dash, running 21.18 seconds at the Raleigh Relays.
Displaying great speed and looking to elevate the program even further, Jood was coming off a week in which he won the 100-meter dash in 10.52 seconds and the 200-meter dash in 20.96 seconds. Both occurred at the Stockton Invitational.
Jood is sixth in the country with his 200-meter time of 20.96 seconds and fourth in the 400-meter dash with his time of 47.09 seconds. He is looking to become the first in program history to compete at the NCAA Championships, which this year are from May 23-25 in Emporia, KS.
Goldey-Beacom returns to action this Saturday at the Delaware Invite, beginning at 10:30 am in Newark.
