Goldey-Beacom went against one of the nation's top squads in its season finale, dropping a 6-1 contest to 33rd-ranked Saint Thomas Aquinas at Delcastle Tennis Center in Wilmington, DE.

Goldey-Beacom ran into tough competition in dropping the doubles point, but not before putting up a fight at first doubles.  Junior Elizabeth Mova (Sevastopol, Ukraine) and sophomore Zehra Canbaz (Denizli, Turkey) did their best in keeping Viktoriia Pavlovets and Kateryna Kryuchkova at bay, but were handed a 6-4 setback.

The Lightning's point was garnered by sophomore Jess Sanzo (Bristol, England), who provided great hope for the future with a 7-5, 6-4 triumph over Samanta Villegas Robles at No. 4 singles.  Sanzo ends the campaign with victories in two of her last three singles encounters.

Mova looked to add another point in taking her match at No. 1 singles to three sets, but Pavlovets dealt her a 6-1, 1-6, 6-3 setback.

Goldey-Beacom goes into the offseason looking to build on a spring in which it recorded three victories and saw many underclassmen excel down the stretch.
