Women’s Tennis Wins Its Third Straight, 4-3 Over Millersville

Goldey-Beacom convincingly took the doubles point and got three singles victories in straight sets for its third consecutive triumph, 4-3 over Millersville at Delcastle Tennis Center in Wilmington, DE.
 
GBC took a 1-0 lead in doubles.  Sophomore Jess Sanzo (Bristol, England) and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Year Nahomi Quinonez (Manta, Ecuador) got a 6-3 triumph over Chloe Abramowitz and Sido Rault at No. 2 doubles.  Junior Macy Hendin-Walker (Ipswich, England) and sophomore Hannah Brandl (Neufeld, Austria) came through at third doubles with a 6-1 win over Sophie Lanius and Lauren Hayes.
 
Sophomore Zehra Canbaz (Denizli, Turkey) continued the run with a 6-1, 6-2 triumph at No. 2 singles over Hui Jen Soo, Quinonez got a 6-1, 6-2 victory at third singles over Abramowitz and junior Lisa-Marie Roussignol (Quimper, France) amassed a 7-5, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles over Lanius.
 
Goldey-Beacom on Thursday plays its season finale against Saint Thomas Aquinas, beginning at 3:00 pm.
