Women’s Tennis Notches 4-3 Triumph at The College of New Jersey

Goldey-Beacom grabbed four singles matches to overcome an early deficit and record a 4-3 victory over The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ.
 
The Lightning were in a 1-0 hole after doubles, but not before junior Elizabeth Mova (Sevastopol, Ukraine) and sophomore Zehra Canbaz (Denizli, Turkey) got an 8-7 (7-4) triumph at first doubles over Chase Eisenberg and Zoey Albert.
 
Mova then was victorious at No. 1 singles with a 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 win over Aira Abalos and Canbaz got a 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 win at second singles over Zoey Albert.
 
Nahomi Quinonez (Manta, Ecuador) recorded a 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 win at third singles over Eisenberg and fellow sophomore Hannah Brandl (Neufeld, Austria) got a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 6 singles against Gabriella Robinson.
 
Goldey-Beacom on Friday hosts Millersville for a 1:00 pm match.
