Victories for Goldey-Beacom's basketball teams over their local rivals saw sophomore Zakari McQueen (Petersburg, VA) named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll and senior Julie Kulesza (Wilmington, DE) get the same nod for Women's Basketball.

McQueen continued his standout play by averaging 19.0 points over two games to go with 10 three-pointers and eight rebounds.  He poured in 24 points on 7-of-15 shooting with six 3-pointers Saturday in Goldey-Beacom's 87-85 victory over Wilmington.  McQueen also netted 14 points Tuesday at Jefferson.

A major reason for the team's solid play, McQueen has scored in double figures seven times this season and is averaging 16.5 points over his last four contests.  He is first in the CACC (33rd in the country) with 27 three-pointers and 16th with 13.4 points per game.

Kulesza averaged 18.5 points and 5.5 rebounds over two games.  She recorded 17 points and seven rebounds Tuesday at No. 13 Jefferson before getting 20 and four Saturday in Goldey-Beacom's 80-59 victory over Wilmington.

A great addition after playing her first three seasons at Bucknell, Kulesza has provided instant offense to a squad already laden with quality scorers.  She has scored in double figures seven times this season, is averaging 16.3 points over her last three games, is tied for 10th in the league with 13.9 points per contest, first outright (37th in the nation) with an .886 free throw percentage and 13th with 2.8 assists per game.
