Julie Kulesza Named CACC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

Senior Julie Kulesza (Wilmington, DE), who is making the most of her season with Goldey-Beacom, has been named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Kulesza averaged 16.3 points and 5.0 rebounds over three games. She poured in a career-high 23 points on 7-of-15 shooting to go with seven rebounds Sunday at undefeated Indiana (PA), which is ranked third in the Atlantic Region according to D2CSC. Kulesza also scored 18 points Friday against Franklin Pierce.

The career high in points includes Kulesza's three seasons at Bucknell. This came after three first team all-state appearances for the Conrad School of Sciences, which Kulesza helped win the Delaware state championship for in 2018.

Kulesza is eighth in the CACC with 14.5 points per game, third with an .830 free throw percentage, 16th with 2.5 assists per game and 25th with 4.9 rebounds per contest. She has scored in double figures nine times this season.

It is Kulesza's third league selection after being named to CACC Weekly Honor Roll on November 18 and December 9.

Goldey-Beacom on Wednesday is at Saint Thomas Aquinas for a 7:00 pm game.
